Until we can develop other sources of large scale power, like it or not, we need to burn coal.

Re: Indianans worry about their coal ash impoundments

There is no such thing as an "Indianan." Be it garbage - incinerators - this toxic sludge / by God you'll not see it dumped at Martha's Vineyard - Kennebunkport - etc. Hell RICH attorney (lives in Jackson Hole) Jerry Spence had an incinrator stopped from beign constructed in South Dakota because emissions MIGHT mar Jackson Hole's turquoise skies. This place the playground - trophy homes of the elite. Disgusting...NOTHING is changed except for the worst. They all LIE...and could care less about killing people.

Re: Some of nation’s coal ash ponds have significant deficiencies

Would the coal be affected if they would do
pond aeration to clean the ponds?

Re: Report accuses TVA of trying to dodge blame for coal ash spill

Thank you for sharing this information!

Re: Report accuses TVA of trying to dodge blame for coal ash spill

Coal ash is handled and treated differently in Europe:

http://greencabaret.blogspo...

Re: Family worries about cattle, health, livelihood after coal ash spill

What a shame.I bet even the communist chinese government takes better care of these types of disasters,in a country where there is not much respect and concern about human lives.

Re: TVA granted permission to dredge Emory River

The TVA has more problems then just coal ash!

http://tinyurl.com/dc99ey

mB

Re: Congressional committee considers regulation of coal ash ponds, landfills

Thank you so much for your comment. We can only hope that what happened
to the people in Tennessee will not happen other places, and that there
are lessons learned from this incident to make things safer for others
in the future. We appreciate your feedback.

Re: Congressional committee considers regulation of coal ash ponds, landfills

Our goverment has known about these issues for decades but has failed to act because of Utilities lobbying against regulations. It's unacceptable and irresponsible. How long must we continue to wait?
